Second Hand Machinery Helped Guide Dairies Through The Recession And Into Profit 22 Feb 2011
Cost effective and reliable second hand machinery was a major factor in helping the dairy industry remain competitive and pull through the recession in one of the toughest periods experience in recent times.
The recession was undeniably one of the toughest periods to ever hit the dairy industry. There were many reasons to why the industry pulled through but saving vast sums of money on replacement equipment was certainly a factor that needs to be taken into consideration.
Indeed, machinery doesn’t stop wearing and breaking for time nor recession so, when the unfortunate happened and machinery needed replacing, when budgets were already at their tightest, second hand machinery helped dairies save up to 50% on replacement or updated machinery, allowing additional finances to be put to use elsewhere in the business.
Paul Crowter, Managing Director of Machinery World, commented: “Dairy machines are built to last so purchasing new equipment is often completely unnecessary and a very quick way to squander funding. We scour the world to bring our customers only the very highest standard of machinery so that they can be assured that it’s not going to break within a matter of months and there will be absolutely no difference in efficiency or, quality to the end product.”
